About Me

Hi, I’m Lauren Rose—urban fantasy author, slow-burn enthusiast, and recovering perfectionist with a soft spot for complicated characters and a strong cup of coffee.

I wrote my first “novel” at age eight (The Attack of the Evil Pencils, critically acclaimed by my mom), and I’ve been telling stories ever since. These days, I write immersive, character-driven fiction where the world’s on fire, the romance simmers, and healing is rarely linear—but always earned.

By day, I’m a Communications Manager juggling public storytelling, crisis messaging, and city branding. By night, I’m elbows-deep in edits, second-guessing chapter breaks, or stress-organizing my Scrivener files. I’m also a mental health advocate living with high-functioning anxiety and a spine that collects bone spurs like weird little souvenirs. Writing helps me turn the hard stuff into something meaningful—a place where vulnerability and hope can share the same page.

When I’m not writing, I’m hanging with my family and friends, listening to a mix that includes Britney Spears, Falling in Reverse, emo-EDM, and Italian pop—because genre loyalty is a myth and chaos is a vibe. I dream of writing from a Tuscan villa someday, but for now, I’ll take coffee on the back porch—usually somewhere between a glamping trip, a beach read, and forgetting to water my plants.

At heart, I’m a hopeless romantic and a big-time dreamer. I believe everyone has a story—just waiting to be told. Thanks for stopping by mine.
